Suanin Kin

The Suanin Kin is a tribe of nomads who roam the The Highoak Woods. The tribe largely consists of Elves, but occasionally takes in an individual from a different race, most of these individuals are children at the time of acceptance.

Structure

he Suanin Kin consists of eight factions, each with a special connection to an animal that lives in the woods. Through their devotion to this animal, each faction has their own way of worshiping The Nourisher. Factions tend to roam the woods separately, but will meet with all factions once a year. Not all factions are very friendly towards each other, but they never engage in physical fighting with other factions. Animals worshiped (and kept) by the individual factions are:

• Moth. Known for their expert camouflaging techniques.
• Spider. Fight with poison and traps.
• Fox. Are very quick and wear bright colors.
• Owl. Mostly active at night.
• Eagle. Consider themselves the most noble of factions.
• Wolf. Most mobile of the factions and the quickest to take in strays. This faction knows a strict hierarchical order. 
• Bear. Known to wildshape into bears for the hunt.
• Moose. The only vegetarian faction that have a specific use for each plant they encounter.

The factions keep in touch through a messaging system where messages are send to mushrooms near another faction if a suitable offering is provided. Messages usually consists of family news such as births and deaths, reports of threads or meeting requests.
