The Dodo

"Hoko hoko hoko!"

Summary

A denizen of The Enchanted Wood who, despite his bizarre appearance, is a true Dreamer rather than a Figment. He is rumored to be the author behind many of the strange tales that have taken root amongst the trees of the wood. Several of these he based on a friend from his human life, Alice Hargreaves, now also a dreamer. The fact that he's done this without her consent has resulted in some ill will directed back.   The Dodo chose the form of a clumsy bird for himself. Based on a character from one of his stories, he thinks it suits him, as a "funny little man," now a "funny little bird." He has a strange laugh, that sounds like something between an owl hooting and a pair of rocks being smashed together. While welcoming, hospitable, and silly, the Dodo does possess a streak of stark cynicism and a lack of empathy that make him difficult to deal with.
