A figment of dreamstuff given form by the same source that created the Alices and Courts of Cards. The Cheshire Cat floats and waddles around The Enchanted Wood looking for trouble. It (he?) delights in making trouble and causing problems on purpose. For all this, there are few who know the twisting inside of the Wood as well as the Cat. Travelers sometimes seek out this mischievous creature as a guide to the harder-to-reach areas of the forest, but they're just as likely to be led into danger as to find their destination.
