Summary
A mysterious woman in red who appeared in summons to Hashinara Yoshitakatomo's spell, Lord of Fools. By this criterion, she must be insane, yet Carmilla's is a curious kind of madness. She always appears to be gazing into the middle distance, displays great difficulty in focusing, and cannot seem to make decisions or take voluntary action on her own. When she does speak, Carmilla swaps between the use of singular and inclusive plural for her personal pronouns. Reflected in her wide eyes is a tinge of fear, and she continues to ask anyone who will listen to save her. It would not be far-fetched to assume that she recently underwent some great trauma. And yet no other evidence of this is visible on her person. Carmilla must have traveled far to answer Yoshitakatomo's spell, but her red dress is untorn and unstained. The exotic, bone-like ornaments that she wears over the garments are not chipped nor tarnished in any way. So far, there is little information as to where Carmilla came from or what happened to her. The only concrete clue is the residue of an extremely powerful, divine spell still lingering upon her person: Lord of Souls. That, and the obscene amount of spiritual energy she gives up. Could Carmilla be something beyond a god? Does such a thing exist?
