Sensors

Sensors are able to feel similar beings and energy sources around them. They are able to tell the approximate or exact location of a target, determine the amount of troops around, and some of the best can even tell which actions are being done by what individuals. A relatively common ability, ~47% of the Great Human population has at least the basics down for it, with ~13% of those individuals having the highest known tier for the power.

Sensors V 2

This is the most up-to-date ranking system for Sensors using the Corvil Ranking System for powers and potential. With this being a fairly common skill for its usefulness, it is not unusual for squads to have at least one Sensor within them. This is a skill that does not require intense training to master. It is thought of as an essential skill for higher level groups, however with its prevalence in the Great Human population, it is difficult to rank it properly and in the end ranking is almost solely based on an individual's knowledge of the power and uses. The letters following the number corresponds to what sort of team rank a user of that ability could be put in while in Bull's Army.
  1. C/B. Energy Masking (Minor): The user is able to hide their energy from others for a short time. This does not completely hide them against masters of the skill nor anyone close-by, but it can help against some. Overall, this isn't useful in most scenarios.
  2. A. Energy Masking (Major): The user is able to near-perfectly mask their own as well as their team's energies, effectively making them invisible to other Sensors for a longer duration than the Minor rank. Able to hide up to five other people aside from themselves, this skill seems to be limited only to small groups of people. Only a Demon seems to be capable of using this to hide more than the mentioned amount.
  3. A. Energy Locating (Minor): The user is able to swiftly tell the locations of anyone nearby, as long as they are not under the effects of their own energy masking. In early stages of training for this however, Sensors are required to close their eyes in order to see the surrounding energies easier, as they are reported as being so light in color that they are nearly indistinguishable from the natural surroundings at first.
  4. A. Energy Locating (Major): The user is able to locate nearby beings with better accuracy and longer range. Most individuals at this rank are able to keep this ability working almost all day. The most telling sign of someone reaching this rank is the ability to use this power with their eyes open. Most are able to accurately tell the distance to the target and in most cases, their current actions.
  5. S. Energy Tracking: The user can pick up on the residual energy left behind by beings with powers as well as do everything in previous ranks. Capable of Sensing through most masked individuals. There is only one reported case of a Human ever reaching this point. It is unknown beyond the listed information.

The Risks

  • Sensors cannot hide themselves from fellow Sensors of the same caliber or better.
  • Due to Sensors actively keeping touch of every energy source near them, it is difficult to know when one has been noticed. A Sensor hiding their energy might not have the upper hand in that situation, because the enemy Sensors might be better.
  • Sensors can only detect energy, meaning that anyone and anything without energy inside them is practically invisible to them if they are hidden from sight.

The Origin

This ability comes from the natural sight Demons have. Demons are able to see energy and nothing else, unless they borrow a Human's eyesight to learn what it's like to see the world through their eyes.
