Early Life
Marella was born Marella Beatrice Havara to her parents Uman and Ellina Havara on her family's plantation estate to the east of the Canton City of Eskanel in Meheris of 562. She spent most of her early life on the farm alongside her two younger brothers and parents. By the age of 8 (12) she was sent to study under the Principality of Education in Eskanel. There she would spend the majority of her time, only visiting home every few weeks. She was not an exceptional student, as she showed little interest in the topics being taught.As her parents endeavoured to commit to a forward integration of their small winery, she was sent to study the mercantile trade. It was during an apprenticeship at a catering company that she met her future husband Eryan Belatte.

Before moving to Sorenel, Marella spent some time applying her newly gained knowledge of commerce to expand her family's business as they had envisioned. This went well, and they were capable of breaking into the wining business in Eskanel even among the dire competition. Many claim in retrospect that this was due to rumors of Marella's relationship with Belatte spreading causing would-be customers to attempt building rapport with the future Highborn lady.Marriage
When Marella was 12 (19) she and Eryan got engaged and married later that same year. Following the marriage, she moved into Keep Belatte and began her political career in Sorenel. Her husband was not yet the Highborn of their house, which gave her ample time to adjust to the coming circumstances. According to most who have had dealings with House Belatte through her, she was ever well adjusted and showed a professionalism characteristic of a true Highborn lady. Whether this was flattery as a political tool is unknown.Relationships
History
Marella and Eryan met some 16 years ago while on vacation in the Canton of Eskanel. Marella was of a significantly lower rank than Eryan, descending from a relatively simple plantation house. It was however Eryan who insisted on their relationship and later marriage. It is as of yet unknown why Highborn Garys Belatte, the patriarch at the time allowed the marriage to proceed, even as he had arranged for Eryan to marry a branch daughter of House Sosiell.
