The Chubby Ram is a large coaching inn and tavern on the outskirts of
Vedan, located just outside the main gates in the outer wall. It is located on the northern side of the road into Vedan, next to the wall. It caters predominantly to passing caravans, and has a substantial paddock/cart parking and stabling round the back. It is always busy in the evenings, but during the day is quiet with a handful of local older men enjoying a pint or three of
Vedan Vertex.
Layout
The long frontage of the building onto the main road has a verandah with small tables. Two sets of double doors lead in to the open bar area, with a few dozen large round tables and a long wooden bar on the far wall. There are doors which lead out the left hand (Western) end into the paddock behind.
The inn has around 20 bedrooms, located upstairs above the bar room.
