Solomani

The Solomani are a sub-species of Humaniti that evolved on Terra/Sol. Although native human populations are found throughout Charted Space, current scientific opinion is that all these populations are descended from a single ancestral species (Humaniti) that evolved on Terra and was spread across the stars by the Ancients.
Solomani regard themselves as a Major Race, but since the various branches of humans are all interfertile, they are technically all a single species, so are best thought of as an ethnicity.
The Solomani overthrew the Ziru Sirka and established the Second Imperium, also known as the Rule of Man.
