The Goddess in the Stars

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a young woman, or so the story goes, who had power unbeknownst to the mortal world. Her name was Zaria, and many regarded her as a wonderful person, and a jack of all trades so to speak. She grew up in a small fishing village along the coast of unclaimed territory. Her father was a fisherman, and her mother, a seamstress. She learned to sail and sew, and when she was finally an adult, she took her maiden solo voyage to find new territory. Suddenly, a storm hit, rocking her small boat and knocking her over. She managed to survive, but she landed on a small island, completely different from anything she had ever seen before. She soon learned to grow and change with the island, live off the land, and survive in a new place. After years of trying to build a new boat to get back home, she finally had a vessel that could sail. The gods looked upon her with favor and helped guide her back home. She started to preach the lessons she learned on the island, telling everyone in her village the wisdom she claimed to have received from the gods. When she passed, people say the gods decided to give her a place amongst the stars as a thank you, where she currently resides over her found home, Zafar.
This tale has been passed down from generation to generation, and many young children are told a version of this tale to encourage exploration and faith in the stars and gods. Many people have different versions of this tale, and all of them end with the gods giving Zaria a place among them. The Order of the Island have their version of this tale that they believe to be the one true tale, and they will not change their minds about it, no matter how compelling other stories may be.
