Monarch

Being the monarch of any nation is a great honor and responsibility. It is passed from parent to child and has been for many generations. As long as written history itself, this position has remained quite important. The monarchs reign over the land however they see fit, and their people either love them greatly, or fear them immensely.

There have been many great rulers in history, and there have been just as many ruthless ones. The people respect the kind and fear the oppressive. To be a monarch demands responsibility, many rulers crack under the pressure and lash out at their people, causing a sense of unease.

Good rulers can handle the pressure of the kingdom. They are kind to their servants and their people, and they are more popular than the oppressive kingdoms.

Qualifications

Since it is a hereditary position, the only qualification is being the current monarch's heir. If a monarch has more than one child, the title is passed to the eldest, or the most responsible. Whichever child the monarch(s) feel fit to rule shall inherit the title.

Many young royals undergo combat training to defend themselves and their future families. They also learn how to diffuse tense situations and keep a level head. Different monarchs will choose different things for their children to learn, depending on what kind of monarch they want for the future kingdom, or what kind of person their child wants to be.

Appointment

There is a coronation ceremony whenever a new monarch is appointed. There is often a great feast, a huge gala, and every noble from the nations show their faces to congratulate the new ruler. Depending on the kingdom, it can either be a very solemn occasion, or quite a fun party.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A monarch may be overthrown by the people or by their own family. When this happens, the next in line for the crown takes over.
