The Nobody

The Nobody. The Shadow. The Greatest. The Joke. All of these speak of the same person. They are titles given to the greatest thief who ever was. So great was they that they stole their very name from the Realms. None shall know it again, until the Nobody sells it that is. Beyond just such a feat, the Nobody can steal a thought from the head of any god. In this way the Nobody guides the Great Thief Gods in their control of the Consortium. Consider by all who know of the title to be the true leader of the Consortium, even those three gods do not contest this. Being able to steal thoughts from others they can still leave a mark, a tell, so that the victim knows they have lost something though not what.

Qualifications

One must be able to steal their name from the Realms themselves. To become beyond forgotten but unknowable.

Duties

The Nobody directs and guides the Thieves' Guild and sometimes completes the most impossible of thieving jobs.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

If one were to steal the title then it passes on but such a feat is as absurd as the way it was founded. That doesn't stop many from trying to figure how to follow in the first holders steps.

Creation

The title of the Nobody was created some thousands of years ago after tales of their escapades spread through the Thieves' Consortium.

The Shadow, The Greatest, The Joke, and many others.

Source of Authority

At first the title had no one who granted Authority, as the spread of the holder's legends reached all of the Consortium, there was a general consensus that only such a being could have such power over thieves.

Length of Term

For life, or till taken from the current holder.
