Skyreach Palace

Purpose / Function

Constructed by Aeris Valtaeryn when he began his conquest of Dorthellien. The palace serves as the seat of power for Ruthalia as well as the home for the ruling family.

Alterations

The palace has received many improvements and alterations to its design since the creation of it. Beneath the palace, the King's Slumber was added as the resting place for any ruler that sat upon the royal throne. Great bastions have been added along the exterior walls to bolster the defenses of the palace. A strong room was created in one of the towers as a place for noncombatants to hide in case of a siege. A secret entrance to the palace through the King's Slumber was created that connected to a hidden cove that leads into Blackfen Bay.

Architecture

Large 25' stone walls surround the palace grounds. The Skyreach itself is made up of dark gray stone, glass, and metal. Large towers and spires pierce into the sky reminiscent of the city skyline of Argos. Large banners of the ruling family adorn the outside of the palace gatehouse and the entrance to the palace itself.
