Kingsguard
Only the greatest fighters of noble blood or knightly honor are able to join the Kingsguard. Upon joining the new member must swear an oath before the crown to promise the total fealty and protection of the King or Queen and royal family. The oath is as follows:
I, name, pledge my sword, my honor, and my life to protect the King/Queen and the royal family. I shall take no spouse, hold no lands, bear no children. I shall obey the crown, protect its secrets, and defend their name and honor. I will counsel when asked and remain silent when not. These are the vows that I pledge until I perish from these land for now and forever.
Structure
The members of the Kingsguard obey the commands given to them by the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard or directly from the King or Queen.
Public Agenda
Protect the King or Queen and the royal family from harm at all times.
Assets
A set of Mithril armor and a white cape is furnished for each Kingsguard as well as a masterly crafted weapon of their choice. The members of the Kingsguard live within the Skyreach Palace, all expenses are paid for by the crown for each member.
