Tanjia is a lush and beautiful world in another dimension, where most of the planet is covered by water, and the people, the Tanjiians, are led by a recently crowned Empress. This young woman, Ka'asume, is also the latest in a line of Guardians, blessed with power over water, to help preserve the balance of life and safeguard the rare flora and fauna unique to Tanjia.
