The Court of Sea
Leader- Oddy Sea
Seat of Power- Lindestheas,
Domain- The seas and fisheries around the continent sized island that the League of Iamel-zed sits on. They maintain a large series of underwater dwellings and townships that herd fish like livestock or harvest oysters and seaweed like crops. They also act as a first line of defense against naval invasion along side The Court of Ships, a position that has become extremely relevant in recent years.
Social Structure- The Court of Sea is made from various aquatic races and fey such as Nerids, Sea-elves, Sirens and Sea hags. They are a theocratic court, with their leader being appointed by their patron god Pos-Odin.
Traditions/taboos- They believe that curtesy and manners are everything and while endeavor to be polite to all they meet, even their enemies. After all just because some one is trying to kill you, that's no excuse to be rude on either end.
They are also quite devout in their worship of their god. They hold that because Pos-Odin's Domain is the sea, they owe him the worship he deserves. Many members of the court even have small altars dedicated to him in their dwellings.
Relations to other Courts-
The Court of Ships-the court has long had a contentious relationship with them, a rivalry of the seas, how the consider their steamships an afront to Pos-Odin and their brisket and rude attitudes when compared to the overly respectful and courteous ones. But in recent years, war has forced the two together. The Court acts as a form of marine based infantry while the Court of Ships keep the Confederations Ships occupied.
Dealing with the Oligarchy- the Court has a mixed relationship with with the seaside houses of the oligarchy. They often try to convert those they encounter to Pos-Odin's worship, something the oligarchy strictly objects too, while the oligarchy has been known to make the odd memwr of the court "disappear" or to "recruit" them to a life of service
