Pos-Odin

Personality- Pos-Odin is pride incarnate, an ancient god who believes the sea is the true source of all life and knowledge, and thus his domain is supreme. He is charming, boastful, and dangerously persuasive, with the voice like that of crashing waves and melodic laughter that echoes in song

He is known to take lovers from among mortals, Fey, and even lesser gods, leaving behind children touched by sea-magic or ruin. He rewards those who flatter him with riches from the deep and curses those who slight him with endless storms or salt-choked dreams. His pride is as vast as the seas themselves.

Despite his charming ways, he can be extremely temperamental and turn on an instant when he feels slighted. Something that he reflects in his tides. He believes that any slight, no matter how petty, must be dealt with, lest he appear weak in the eyes of others.

That being said, there is wisdom in his actions. He believes that a simple act of violence or decisiveness can end years of suffering before they can even start. One of his most famed quotes are said to be "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves" or "The line between naivety and hopefulness is almost invisible"

Clergy- There are a great many varieties of Pos-Odin's clergy, but his most common worshipers are sailors and those whose lives revolve around the seas. These worshipers often make sacrifices to Pos-Odin in attempt to gain his blessing on their voyages, especially for those who plan to spend a long time on the open waters. Many have given up an eye, treasure, or even a memory to gain Pos-Odin’s blessing. Some build coastal temples from coral and sandstone, but many create simple altars with braziers to burn their sacrifices in their homes or upon sand spits where the tides submerge and recede from, taking their offerings

Cultural Impact- In coastal towns along the Oligarchy and League, it's common it's common to prey for his blessing and calm waters before departing on sea trade or for a day of fishing. Some even pray that he turn his eire on the many pirates that surround the coast like shark's waiting to surface. Some Fey claim Pos-Odin drowned a rival god and made their bones into coral islands. Others believe he still waits beneath the ocean, dreaming of tides to come.

His is also famed for incarnating in his avatar form to wander along the coasts, looking for lovers to bed. This has lead to a long line of lineages with divine blood or power over the seas and storms.

Many also dedicate their lives in his name in hopes of gain access to the great secrets and knowledge buried beneath the waves. There is even rumors of great civilizations, both dead and still thriving, hiding below the waters where his word is law.
