Hardug Keeneye Launches an invasion

A hobgoblin warlord launches an attack on the northern fortresses and invades Caresnas

A hobgoblin warlord named Hardug Keeneye assembles a vast force called the Army of Destined Conquest. With this force he seizes control of the fortresses The Alliance had built in the Savage Lands. The dwarven held Fort Elegar lasts long enough for word of the invasion to reach Clan Magrannor allowiing them to prepare, but the Holy Kingdom of Caresnas has no warning and the border fortresses in the Barrier Mountains are taken by surprise. Hardug's force sweeps down into Caresnas, overwhelming the feeble resistance that individual lords can muster.   The Army of Destined Conquest is eventually turned back by the combined forces of the Alliance and Hardug is killed along with most of his senior commanders in a blast of magefire.
