Stones Speak Louder Than Words

Only the rich can afford to build their homes out of stones. Beautiful big mansions that can sprawl several acres and are nestled in within the rich city districts of any settlement. But when they fall, their ruins speak the loudest, for decades reminding the people who come after those prominent families, that whoever flies close to the sun, gets burnt. Burnt down to the bones. Until ashes are all that is left from their grandeur.   The ruins of the Hinu family dates back to the very beginnings of the kingdom. It was one of the most famous family lines of city officials, capable and cunning and towards the end, pretty ruthless and drunk on their own power. No one is exactly sure, who did start the fire, but by the end, everyone made sure there was no one left standing. It would be regarded as tragedy, if there was anyone left to mourn them.   Let it be a lesson and a warning to all, that humans are mere mortals. Fragile and not made to rule.   Even the temple wasn't left unscathed. Some people swear that they can see the shadow of the matron still praying at the last uncollapsed wall that is now overgrown with moss. But who would actually want to get closer to get a good look on the condemned?
