Power Behind the Throne

There are not many artifacts left from the Age of the Ancients, but this mirror proves, that the time when gods walked the earth was real and truly happened. Not many people can see it during their lifetime and many who stood before it wish, that they didn't.
The Tears of Adonike, the Truth Mirror or the Spyglass is an enchanted mirror in the possession of the royal dynasty. It has the power to reveal the truth in it's reflection and can be used not only as an ordinary mirror in that regard, but it can also be used to display any portion of the realm the Seeker chooses to see. Some also speculate that the mirror also has the power to display things that happened in the past, and things that may happen in the future. This comes in very handy during military campaigns.
According to the myth, goddess Adonike was devastated when mankind learnt evil and wept so profoundly, her tears made pools all over the land that wouldn't soke into the ground, but would instead forever expose those who decided to commit misdeads and mischief. Those tears were then collected by the order of the fifth emperor who had them set into metal frames and cast into a mosaic behind his throne. Some of the mirror pieces are there to this day, but some were taken away on different occassions to assist with the investigation of various matters all over the country.
