Grab the candelabra near the angel statue and you reveal the secret door (well not so secret to some people) into Marcel's personal workshop / laboratory / bedroom. This little corner of his world houses his giant worktable full of projects he is currently working on and a little cozy bed full of cushions and blankets (it's never made to look nice) in the corner.
One of the reasons why Marcel's goods are one of a kind is because he makes most of it himself, so the majority of what's out there on the shelves are replicas. Or outright fakes. Marcel himself is more fascinated with the craft of creating various magical items but gets bored really quickly so that's why he has never stuck in one crafty discipline and rather pretends to sell stuff from all corners of the world which is not technically a complete lie. And who needs to know what really happens back here?
Do you really wanna spread mean rumours and lose the friend discount? Come on.

Purpose / Function

Rest and tinkering. Sometimes even hiding from the outside world. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of a very busy and loud city. The walls here are really thick and seem to be able to drown out a lot of the noise from the outside. It is a place when one hermit cursed forger can focus for hours on end on whatever he is creating.

Alterations

There are no decorations on the wall, they are completely bare, but you can still see the holes after nails and some shadows after the paintings that are no longer there. All the pretty and shiny stuff is now laid out on the working table or proudly displayed in the other rooms of the shop that are accessible to curious public with some money to spare.

Architecture

Wooden floors, faded grey wallpaper on the walls, nothing really remarkable or special.

History

It was probably the bedroom of Marcel's uncle before he died.
