A Very Polite Zombie Apocalypse (Plot)
This contains spoilers and half-assed ideas, you have been warned. I will probably only reveal my plans for the first act in here, maybe the second, if I have the time. If what you read here fascinates you, let me now and I might add you to my potential beta readers list and let you know once I have some actual chapter ready to be critiqued or discussed!
Plot points/Scenes
Act One
Show Spoiler- Victor has been strategically killing of innocent people and then reanimating them to gain access to key places and information. He's been also stealing organs and certain things to create a super zombie spy or something like that. Instead of the organs he might have put some explosives into the cavities left in his obedient slaves. He has a plane and he has just put it into motion.
- Which means that a body part (probably a hand) gets dropped of at Dora's doorstep as a warning. But not from Victor, they do not know each other, yet. But from the zombie itself.
- While they do not have their own voice or agency or many brain cells left in general, some of them do remember, faintly, being human. They do not like what is about to happen. What is about to be unleashed. They need to do something. But there is not much they can do. So dropping body parts it is.
- Maybe it's not only zombies, but also other creatures can sense the impending doom around. Taresh is a magical threshold of a place where dreams meet reality and beyond. The veils are thin here and someone has been tearing at them real hard recently. That someone being Victor, of course. But there will definitely be someone who think it's Dora. Because she's cursed, right, and all cursed people are evil, that's a given. Plus, what about all those body parts appearing wherever she goes, huh?
- When Cookie and Dora meet it will happen in a very, very weird place.
- "I didn't know you'd be here." "Yeah, like I believe you that." Alexandra just smiled to herself and replied with silence.
- Basically, Alex sees the future and the future is bad with a capital B like a bitch. So this time, it won't help to hide or run from it far, far away. This time it can change everything. And Alex cannot stop it alone and knowing that no one will ever believe what she has to say, she does decides to nudge the domino pieces in a different direction. At least try her best to do so. And she needs Dora for that.
Act Two
Show Spoiler- The superzombie is Victor's true passion project, while power is his ambition. Again, he is just helping these boring mundane people achieve greateness. He is allowing them to be special. To be important. To matter. But creating a new "thing" (because zombies are definitely just a thing to him) is fun for him. He does it because it fascinates him and he needs to spend his time somehow before his evil plan is finally complete. Patience is a virtue.
- The explosives are in place in case of complications. Bodies scattered all over the place do not leave evidence. They leave just gore. This way, all connections back to Victor disappear plus he gets to pin the crimes on the anarchists.
