Young falconer Ayia had the happiest childhood a girl can dream of. Until the Nightshade Bandits came and slaughtered everyone and burnt her entire village to the ground, while she has managed to stay hidden in one of the wells. After several weeks of hiding in the woods, she gets picked up by a pack of royal scouts and eventually ends up in the palace training to become a maid and possibly a future spy as well.
Right as she thinks she has managed to find a new family, a little island of peace in the turbulent waters of palace intrigues, and maybe, even, someone she's willing to give her heart to, she discover a silver Nightshade Seal and a proof that those weren't just some savage bandits that burnt her former life away. Thus begins her journey across the five kingdoms to uncover what truly happened that night and to deliver punishment to those who deserve it. Will the screaming voices she carries in her head ever find justice?
