Yio, The Breath and Song

Common Names: The Herald, Winds of Change (Really?... Ugh, that’s too much pressure…SMH), The Cardinal Canter (Oy vey…), The Legendarily-Intrepid-King-of-Entertainers-and-Boaster-of-Infinite-Talent (<3 this one the most. Came up with it completely on my own), The Bard's Bard (Really? More alliteration)   Domains: Exploration, Crafts, Creation, Song, Sound, Winds, Beauty, Birds, Flight, Storms, Inspiration, Journeys, Stories (The Middle), Joy, Freedom, Change, Mirth, Music, Art   Mantra: "Do I really need to do this? Ugh! I'll get to it later…"   Followers: "I'm not really into labels... You do you." - Needless to say, bards, musicians, actors, writers, poets, entertainers, and artists of all types are typical worshipers of Yio. Prayers for inspiration, talent, and fame commonly reach his ears. He is also frequently worshiped together with Marloch by sailors and other explorers for safe and successful journeys. Intelligent beings capable of flight, or for whom the winds are specifically emphasized in their lives are also avid worshippers. Due to the nature of his domains being less tangible, and the prominent stereotypes of carefree and laissez faire attitudes of his devotees, and the god himself, neither he nor his mortal practitioners are generally taken very seriously.   Symbol: Birds sitting on parallel tree branches to resemble notes on a music staff   Description: "Fabulous!" - Reported to be a man of as many faces as he has talents (go on...). While his appearance may be as ill-defined as his intentions, he is guaranteed to be the most flamboyant, gaudy, and flashy person wherever he is, whatever the situation (you forgot: extravagant, fly, baroque, glitz and glam!). One of the most common descriptions, is that of a tall, slender man, garishly dressed in contrasting colors, angular facial features, wavy hair that resemble beautiful feathers, and eyeshadow done up to resemble the many colors of a peacock's feathers (just dashing!). Accounts of Yio either putting on a performance to delight the audience or working the audience members up into a passionate frenzy of fun and frivolity (you should have seen Nerefina blush!). Regardless, participants can never recount the entire event or experience, only bits and pieces as if they were drunk or drugged (always leave them wanting more! ;) ).   Relic: Mirth and Muse
