Garsburg

The city of that is most southern of all civilizations. The cold temperate climate creates a harsh environment for its people. Access by land is all but cut off due to the treacherous and high peaks to the north. Passage to and from the city is dependent on the freezing of the waters to the north which is affected by the tides of the salty ocean waters to the south. Its polar location, means that there is mixing of the salty southern waters about 21 days a month, leading to the water remaining in a liquid state. The last seven days of each month, when the tide is lowered and the ocean waters recede, the fresh water freezes solid, permitting passage to the north. Diet primarily consists of of fish, wild game, and root vegetables. Many are also capable sailors, as long ocean voyages are a necessity to reach other locations throughout Tre'Novis   The city is under siege by an army of amphibious sea creatures to the south, and are being overwhelmed easily due to their ability to retreat to the north blocked by the fluid ocean waters. Supplies are running out and they are not sure if they can survive until the cold arrives to freeze the sea...
