Eosorien

Eosorien and Denouement: Two cities west of the Tufania Vale, famously separated by the Grey Gorge, a canyon that spans for miles and has no known bottom. It is thought that the gorge is a passageway for souls as the crossover from the prime material. While both are considered cities, only living residents of either are in the western Eosorien. Denouement is actuality is a massive graveyard where the countless dead of the city have been interred over the centuries. When a citizen of Eosorien dies, their body is carried the two day journey across the gorge, along a manmade pass of bridges constructed of bone and sinew that connect to pillars of grey stone that jut up from the canyon floor. The bearers spend the night halfway through the trek at the top of tall pillar, letting the decedent spend their last night above ground. Reaching the city of Denouement, the body is interred and the bearers spend the next month living below the ground to ease the departed into their afterlife before returning to Eosorien. While the city architecture is quite angular and sharp in nature, the city is actually shades of white and decorated with white and yellow flowers, such as lilies, lotus, jasmine, carnations, nightshade, and foxglove.
