Denoué, The Beginning of the End

Followers: Ushers. Named so for the men and women who help usher people and processes from one stage to the next: Life and Death, Birth, Changes in seasons. Though she governs a multitude of aspects, much of society only views her as it regards death and its negative connotations.
Followers are recognizable with their plain grey cloaks, dawning a key with her symbol around their necks or waists. Followers of Denoué are also noted for being required to hold an entry way open, similar to codes of chivalry. Exiting a door held by a member of her cloth is considered bad luck, and signals your death, while entering through one means new life is in your future.

Description: Denoué prefers to take the form of a tall, young women, with pure white hair, and an enormous chest, wrapped in a cloak that reflects dawn and dusk, as the sun travels across the sky. She shows very little emotion in her face and actions, and her tone is always very flat, yet all find it comforting. She wears no other clothing under the robe, but it is said that when pulled open, there is no body, but a gateway to wherever she intends the person, or rather their soul, to go. It is said that passing through her doorway, is the path to life, death, and rebirth.
The world has fashioned two cities to exemplify her importance in the world: Oneieros and Denouement, the two separated by the massive Grey Gorge, Oneieros in the East, and Denouement in the west. The dead of Oneieros, make the journey from East to West, symbolizing the setting sun, crossing the gorge and are laid to rest in Denouement, also known as the City of Dead, a massive graveyard.
