We are using the Mongoose Traveller 2e 2022 rules.
Specifically, the books we’re using are:
Misc and House Rules
Some of these are house rules for this campaign, some are standard rules summarized for convenience.
Knocking Out
House rule: When a character’s END is reduced to zero by a melee attack, the attacker may elect to do stun damage to knock the target out (as if by a weapon with the Stun trait).
This only applies to melee attacks by a weapon that could reasonably do non-lethal damage.
Surgery
Surgery (to heal a character with 3 damaged stats) is an Average (8+) Medic (EDU) check. It restores points equal to the Effect of the check.
House rule: Surgery takes 1D hours. If the check fails, the patient loses points equal to the Effect (instead of 3 + the Effect).
Combat Arm
A combat arm augment “grants Protection [...] to the arm if it is directly attacked or if used as a shield.” But how does that work?
House rule: The Protection bonus applies when the character does a Parry reaction.
Vacc Suits
House rule: Donning or doffing a vacc suit (or other armour that requires the Vacc Suit skill) takes time.
A TL8- vacc suit takes 1D x 10 minutes to don unaided.
A TL9+ suit takes 1D minutes unaided.
The time can be reduced by one step with help from another person who:
- is trained in the Vacc Suit skill, and
- is not themselves wearing a vacc suit or cumbersome armour.
Getting into a rescue bubble, emergency softsuit, or emergency hostile environment suit takes 12 seconds (2 rounds or 2 actions during combat).

House Rule: Refit work generally takes at least 3 days in a starport (waiting your turn, getting in & out of drydock, etc.).
