War of Liberation of Wangshu

Title: "A Dark Chapter in Galactic Corporate Imperial History: The War of Liberation of Wangshu and its Devastating Impact on Habbitzum"   Abstract:   The War of Liberation of Wangshu, a conflict marked by a stark imbalance in power and technological capabilities, serves as a grim reminder of the horrors of war and the potential for misuse of advanced technology. This paper seeks to explore the specifics of this war, the strategies employed by Admiral Count Nuton Wangshu, and the impact of the conflict on the planet Habbitzum, a world with a Technology Level (TL) of 2 - equivalent to a Bronze Age society on Earth.   Introduction:   In Galactic Corporate Imperial (GCI) history, few events stand out as starkly as the War of Liberation of Wangshu. The conflict saw the deployment of a fully equipped fleet of warships to the system now known as Wangshu. Spearheaded by Admiral Count Nuton Wangshu, the fleet targeted the planet Habbitzum, which was technologically unequipped to resist the GCI's advanced weaponry and military tactics.   The Assault on Zaddusk City:   On Admiral Wangshu's orders, the GCI fleet initiated a nuclear strike from orbit on Zaddusk City, the second-largest city on Habbitzum, with a population of 50,000. This assault was a flagrant violation of galactic law, which prohibits the use of weapons of mass destruction against noncombatants, especially on technologically inferior planets.   A Month of Terror:   For a month, Admiral Wangshu terrorized the populace of Habbitzum, deploying drone strikes and conducting special forces operations. The people of Habbitzum, equipped only with Bronze Age technology, had little to no defense against these attacks. The magnitude of the devastation and the disparity in technological capabilities marked these actions as one of the most egregious war crimes in GCI history.   The End of the War:   On 064-963, the Lizzand Peace Treaty was signed, bringing an end to the War of Liberation of Wangshu. While the war itself ended, the consequences of the conflict were far-reaching for Habbitzum.   Conclusion:   The War of Liberation of Wangshu stands as a stark reminder of the power of the GCE War Machine. Still, the GCE is not without mercy, and Admiral Wangshu was eventually executed for "Excessive Use of Ammunition During a Wartime Operation", for which he was executed (thus conveniently avoiding a huge performance bonus the Crown was otherwise obligated to pay).
