Forbidden Flavour

Is there a reason your pair can't be together?

• Cultural - An ancient fued between two cultures keeps them apart, but they find common ground in their values.

• Family - Is a family member determined that your character shouldn't associate with their love interest? Is the reason petty, or something deeper?

• Nobility - The rules that govern noble marriages and pairings don't allow for your character to love a commoner.

Simple is Best

Here are some generic suggestions to get you going:

• A farmer's adult child and a blacksmith.

• The last remaining members of an adventurer's party.

• A warlock and their patron find true love, and it strips them both of their power.

• Opposites attract, a paladin and a warlock find out there's more to life than good and evil.

Gender

Romance doesn't care about gender and you shouldn't either. Pair your people, elves, goblins, dwarves how ever you want. I won't judge. Romance also doesn't mean it has to be NSFW, of course that's always an option, but it can be fluffy everyday love so long as something happens and characters can grow. Try new things in a written medium, it can be a great way to face your bias and learn something new.
