Splintering

I daresay that there had never been so cataclysmic a moment in the history of Tranalos. The Splintering had, of course, been set in motion long before it shaped how we all looked at the world during the era that followed.

I'm not sure I can properly capture the feeling of terror that rippled through the world when the Sorcerer finally lost control and the Pael flooded into Tranalos to such an extreme that entire chunks of the world became separated from one another, although I have done my absolute best to capture some of those expressions within these pages.

It is hard to say whether the Splintering was a deliberate act on behalf of the Sorcerer, as time has given me perspective on how it fed his plans and lead to the @Twisted Game. But I refuse to believe he could have stomached the casualties that came as a result, but I really must say I didn't know him that well. Humanity has always shown me it is capable of far worse than I would have originally guessed.
