Smothering

The Smothering represents the single largest coup in the history of Tranalos, with the possible exception of the Sorcerer's big change-over, and it actually shocks me to state it this way.

The original pantheon that had governed and ruled society had been, I daresay, squelched. Snuffed out. Smothered, as it were. The Rivals stepped in and absorbed their powers, effectively taking the place of the Aspects . While I can say, with certainty, mind you, that the majority of the Rivals did not view themselves as gods once this revolt was complete, most were not opposed to assume the front-and-center place of mortal worship.
