Pilot Minji Shadowstar
This character was created for our one-shot adventure,
The Cure for What Ails You. All characters designed for the adventure are created without determining biological sex, gender, sexuality, or alignment, so that players have maximum flexibility for roleplay.
Minji is an up and coming young
Ip-Ara'dare in their Cartel. A
Lifer, Minji takes their life in their hands to pilot the ship's dreaded
Death Engine and most people think that lifers are about 6 worgs short of a pack, in other words; Nucking Futs. The truth is, where other people have a flight response, Ip-Ara'dare do not. So when confronted with something that frightens them, they attack. This includes socially, which can get them in trouble, as, like most Ip-Ara'dare, they don't know when to keep their mouth shut.
Roleplay Notes
Ip-Ara'dare goblins, especially Lifers, have a reputation for being crazy-brave and somewhat impulsive. They tend to be motivated by a desire to prove themselves as valuable members of a team and as real Star-Pilots. They know that goblins are often dismissed, and whether they choose to exploit that to their own benefit, or to fight the perception every step of the way, they are a force of nature that exert their force of personality on the universe around them.
Physical Description
Minji is in incredible health
Mental characteristics
Minji's birth was fairly typical with an overbearing mother (
Kax'Vee) and absentee father (
Vee), however, they distiguished themselves as
Ip-Ara'dare very young and their mother had trouble placing them in a
Ves'a. This suited her just fine as she was Ip-Ara'dare too, and rather wasn't fond of most
Bela'Wani. Minji's Kax'Vee began training Minji as a Magus and then as a
Lifer. Since then, Minji served their tour of duty in the
Fomorian Navy before striking off on their own, hoping to make their fortune in the greater universe.

Minji is trained as a Magus (Lifer), a Pilot and Navigator
As a pilot/navigator minji can fetch a good price for their services. As a 5th level Lifer, Minji has a Tactical rating of 3 in a standard engine and 5 in a death engine fetching as many shares for their Piloting skills. In a standard salary, they make 300 or 500 gp per month depending on the ship's engine. If hired for their navigation skills, they fetch a similar price of 5 shares or 500 gp/month. If hired for both, they make full price in their primary field and half price in the secondary field.
Minji has completed their tour of duty in the Fomorian Navy.
As Ip-Ara'dare, Minji is seen as mentally ill and mentally handicapped. They are, in fact, neither, though convincing a
Bela'Wani of that is nigh impossible. Goblins in general have an over-developed survival instinct, that others would call downright cowardly, but Ip-Ara'dare goblins do not. They have next to no survival instinct and unlike the common Bela'Wani goblin, they are not sycophantic or fawning, and can be belligerent. These are seen as social failures of character among the goblins.
All of their life, Minji has been treated as mentally disabled. Goblins speak slowly to them, tsk under their breath and generally act as though they have the mind of a child. This is endlessly frustating to them, so they prefer the company of non-goblins.
