Death Engine

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Death Engine uses Necromantic energy to damage the person's life force, in turn converting that life energy to magical propulsion and electromagnetic shielding.   Death Engine Game Mechanics

Significance

Death Engines literally turn the tide of the Second Interstellar War IW2. With their reasonably inexpensive price combined with goblin Lifers, the Fomorian Navy was capable of fielding an absolutely stunning number of small two-man fighters that wreaked havoc on the Elven warships who could neither keep up with them, nor out-maneuver them. Furthermore, their small size made them very difficult to hit and even when they did hit them, the twin lifers aboard could usually repair the damage before they got hit again, and get out of combat, making it a point of pride and superstition among the pilot-teams to keep the same fighter for as long as possible. Some even went as far as to fly the same fighter for the entirety of the war. Some of them had been repaired so often and thoroughly that they were only the same fighter in theory.
