Who I Am Today

Who I am today is a man. I am not how I was when I closed my eyes, and yet I am who I was. I am still Yeet Lovema. I am still me.
Who I am today is someone whose heart changes, yet whose heart is always true. This can be the case when my body changes too.
Who I am today is who I want to be. My mind and heart give the answer, then my body does the rest.
Who I am today is a Changeling, shifting faces, shifting bodies, but that doesn't make my truth any more a lie. Who I am is the same.
Who I am today is someone who can walk the streets and know that no one person that I pass knows I do not look the same as yesterday.
Who I am today is someone who the barista at the local coffee shop, smiling back at me, greets with hello. Same as all the rest.
Who I am today is someone whose exterior shines like the gilded streets of Camor. Like the sun itself. Proud in its beams.
Who I am today is someone who looks to their reflection in the gold and nods. I am myself.
Who I am today is someone who goes to bed early, when the sun is tucked behind the clouds but not set. Oh sun, I am not set either.
Who I am today is someone who wakes up with a different feeling.

Who I am today, however, is still me.
