Asin, God of the Sky

Considered more of a local deity to Cor Benefius rather than a true member of the Terran Pantheon, Asin is the name given to a "Dark-winged entity of light" said to have appeared to one of the founders of the nation of Cor Benefius, Erabin Tuskthorne, the father of the city-state's first monarch. Erabin claimed that he witnessed this being flying to an island in the middle of the lake, and heard its voice telling him that his descendants would take to the sky if they made their tools from the earth of the island he sat upon. Not known as a particularly holy man, Erabin did pass the story of his encounter with Asin down to his son, and the city of Cor Benefius was built upon the island Erabin claimed the deity had indicated.   Outside of Erabin's account, not much is known about the entity known as Asin, but local Benefian folklore has called him the "God of the Skies" and claimed he came down to help give Terrans dominion over the air, which had previously been considered the domain of the dragons. Some claim Asin is an emissary of Kyrøn, but the most popular theory regarding Asin's origin is that he is an independent entity, perhaps outside of time, who sought to raise the nation of Cor Benefius to the heights of power within Totalis though dominion over his area of power, the sky itself.   The highest degree of superstition or worship related to Asin can be found in the Aeronaught's Guild, which will often use the depiction of a light being (usually in gold) with dark wings (usually in obsidian) as a crest on airships.
