Hatville

Once upon a time, the town of Hatville was known by some other name. Today, only historians remember that name, as the town is so renowned for its hats, and other fashion items, that no ordinary person cares about the town's original name.

Hatville is the centre of high fashion in Tosormi. Anyone interesting in making a name for themselves in the world of fashion design or creation will have to spend at least some time here to learn from the masters.

Fire Dragonlings

The most important part of the fashion industry in Hatville centres around the feathers of the Fire Dragonling. Once an item reserved for the Lomian nobles, it is now the most priced item in the whole fashion world.
Hatville is the main hub for the breeding of these small dragons, and the breeders here do not give up their animals freely. The competition is fierce to breed individuals with the most colourful feathers that can then be harvested, without any harm to the animal, to be used in hats and clothing.
The breeding and selling of Fire Dragonlings is highly regulated, and getting a permit for these things can take years. For most people though, it is definitely worth it.

The Town

Hatville was once a fishing village, nestled among the tropical forests in northern Tosormi.
These are the forests that is the natural habitat for the Fire Dragonling, so when they started to become popular, a lot of hunters gathered in Hatville.
The trade soon flourished, and fashion creators started coming here as well to be able to do their work close to the source.

The Fashion

The town is ripe with tailors and hatters creating items for the elite of society. The feathers from the Fire Dragonling are currently the most popular sign of status and they are thus used in almost everything.
Hats, coats and accessories are the most common, however.
