Tidecasters Enclave
As you move north towards the crucible, a collection of elegant spires and domes comes into view, seemingly rising from the sea itself. This is the renowned Tidecaster Enclave, Erckido's prestigious school of water magic. The main building, crafted from shimmering blue-green stone, appears to undulate like waves in the sunlight.
Drawing closer, you notice students and faculty moving about the grounds, their uniforms immediately catching your eye. The students wear robes of deep blue, trimmed with white that seems to ripple like foam. The fabric itself appears unusual, always looking slightly damp yet perfectly comfortable. Senior students have silver waveline patterns decorating their sleeves, the complexity increasing with their years of study.
Faculty members are distinguished by their teal robes, embroidered with intricate patterns of marine life in golden thread. Each instructor's robe is unique, reflecting their specialty – some bear crashing waves, others placid lakes or river deltas.
The air around the Enclave feels different – cooler, with a tang of salt and a faint mist that never quite seems to dissipate. You can hear the rhythmic chanting of students practicing elementary water manipulation, their voices harmonizing with the crash of waves against the shore.
Near the entrance, a magnificent fountain depicts the legendary founder of the Enclave rising from a whirlpool, water eternally swirling around the statue. Students toss small shells into the fountain as they pass, a ritual said to bring good luck in their studies.
As you watch, a group of advanced students emerges from a building, their robes still dripping. They laugh and chat excitedly about their lesson in the Abyssal Halls, the Enclave's famed underwater training facility.
The main doors of the Enclave stand open, crafted from salvaged ship timbers and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Above them, the school's motto is etched in glowing, fluid script: "In every drop, a world of wonder."
A gentle chime rings out – not a bell, but the sound of water striking crystal – signaling the change of classes. The grounds come alive with activity as students and teachers alike move with purpose, the very air seeming to pulse with magical potential.
Welcome to the Tidecaster Enclave, where the mysteries of water magic are unraveled, and the next generation of hydromancers is forged.
