Torithell - Erundor

Welcome to Erundor, a land of diverse landscapes and rich histories, where ancient magic intertwines with the lives of its inhabitants. From coastal harbors to secluded forests, Erundor is a realm of wonder and opportunity, home to a tapestry of cultures as varied as its terrain.

Among the notable cities of Erundor are:

Erckido

A bustling southern harbor city, Erckido is renowned for its annual Heroes Crucible, a tournament that draws adventurers from across Torithell. Built upon foundations carved by an ancient water mage, the city is a blend of old magic and new ambitions. Its Cunningforge Artisans Guild dominates local politics, while the mysterious Keepers of Torithell orchestrate the Crucible from the shadows. With its vibrant docks and market squares, Erckido pulses with commerce and the promise of adventure.

Tregoa

Perched on the northern cliffs, Tregoa is a city shrouded in mystery. Whispers speak of an ancient Eldritch power that rules the city, its true nature unknown to outsiders. The city's power structure is built on intricate contracts and pacts, with the Spire of the Favored housing its enigmatic administrators. Tregoa's unique culture, centered around deal-making and magical agreements, is epitomized in establishments like The Scaled Ledger tavern and the prestigious Covenant Academy. The Mithril Maw Market stands as a testament to the city's thriving trade in precious metals and arcane goods.

Valentor

To most, Valentor is but a legend - a fabled city hidden deep within an impenetrable forest. Stories tell of the Arboreal, a race of treefolk, and their secret realm seamlessly integrated into ancient woods. Tales speak of Tree Lords, a Woodwarden, and mystical groves, but few believe such a place still exists, if it ever did. The dangerous Bramble Wood that supposedly surrounds Valentor has deterred all but the most determined explorers, leaving the truth of the city's existence a tantalizing mystery.

Arlypos

Arlypos, the City of Winds, stands as a marvel of magical engineering and elemental mastery. Founded by the legendary elementalist Aetheria, the city rises in concentric tiers along a cliff face, its upper and lower sections divided by the shimmering Aetheric Aegis—a controlled windwall maintained by skilled wizards. At its peak floats Aetheria's Crown, a citadel suspended by ancient air magic. Arlyos is renowned for its unique architecture, with buildings and walkways seeming to defy gravity, and for the Galeglides—crystal tubes that serve as the city's primary transportation system. Governed by the Aether Council and protected by the flying Cyclone Guard, Arlyos is a hub of air-based magic and technology. From the prestigious Aetherian Academy of Elemental Arts to the enchanting melodies of The Celestial Chorus tavern, Arlyos offers wonders for visitors and residents alike, all while keeping secrets like the clandestine Void Bazaar hidden in its shadowy depths.

Verhide

Perched atop a rich adamantine mine, Verhide stands as a testament to strength, honor, and glory in Erundor. This formidable city-state, ruled by the scarred Orcish Warlord Ushug "The Honorbound" and her diverse council, is renowned for its elite mercenaries and unbreakable code of conduct. Verhide's imposing adamantine-reinforced walls house a society where status is earned through glorious deeds and adherence to a strict warrior's code. While Orcs form the majority, all races can rise through the ranks by proving their worth in the Proving Pits or on the Glory Fields. The city's lifeblood - its adamantine trade and mercenary contracts - has made Verhide both feared and respected across Torithell. In Verhide, the clash of training swords mingles with the ring of forge hammers, as its people strive to uphold their reputation as the most honorable warriors in the land. Each of these cities, whether readily accessible or shrouded in legend, contributes to the rich tapestry that makes Erundor a land of endless fascination and adventure.
