The Valley Lily Defense

Expedition

The group of heroes tries to defend the Valley Lily village from goblinoid bandits.

The paladin of Gardar named Sir Belor Grimwood is spreading the news, that Valley Lily surroundings are not as safe, as before. Goblin bandits have recently terrorized travelers to the North, and their activity is closer and closer to the village. The heroes willing to help eventually included tabaxi Sunrise of Mountain Peak and wood elves Naivara and Darion.   The heroes under the lead of Belor go to the north from the village, and unsurprisingly meet the group of goblins. By killing their leader, they make one of the goblins flee and capture another one. The intimidated goblin shows the way to the hill, where the entrance to the band's layer lies.   Going through the dungeon, heroes are able to locate some stolen goods and kill a few hobgoblins before continuing further inside. Sunrise was able to detect a presence of a trap, however disarming it was not in order. Darion tried to throw a piece of wood to the mechanism but missed a little. Sir Belor then got this wood and hit the trap, getting a poisonous dart in the shoulder!!!   Eventually, the heroes passed through the trapped corridor and found another room with a couple of hobgoblins. Easily defeating them, they discovered that there is a Bugbear, the leader of the pack, in the next room. Heroes tried to lure him somewhere and eventually killed the goblinoid, rescuing the poor lumberjack who was held captive.    Moreover, the heroes discovered the hidden corridor leading to the secret hall with a few stone statues. The glowing crystal skull was on the pedestal in the middle of the room, and yet another statue was behind it. Naivara did not notice the trap at the entrance and barely made it out alive...   The skull sent a message, telepathically appearing in the heroes' heads: "The Great Priest, the Witness of the Great Light, found his rest here". In the secret compartment in the pedestal, heroes found a couple of old healing potions and an unknown amulet, appearing to be a holy symbol. As soon as Belor took it, the statue became alive and started a fight, but soon Darion crushed it to small pieces with a strong blow.   The heroes returned to the Valley Lilly, and were a cause for a big celebration!
