Castle Rend
Castle Rend is a small, but traditional frontier castle and the high-seat of the Barony of Rend. The castle was built during the Age of Kings by a nobleman from Baldur's Gate, named Alric Rend, the, then, newly appointed Margrave of Bedegar.
The Castle fell into ruin almost 50 years ago, during the reign of the third 7th Lord of Rend, Castor Rend.
Purpose / Function
Frontier Stronghold designed to safeguard the Western Heartlands from the Savage Frontier.
History
Castle Rend was built to expand the territory of Bedegar, which had previously been ruled from Tarreton, which in turn became a Viscounty, but remains the seat of government in the March of Bedegar.
