Session 19.5: Varis Heads Off on His Own Report
General Summary
8:27a - Varis is down in the NW pit and then runs around, through the orc room then the blast furnace room over to the east side of the water tunnel to hide behind E water tunnel wall
8:37a - Varis is at E water channel in blast furnace area. Here he decides to shoot Sildar with an arrow.
8:40a - Varis runs up and through where Nezznar died andover to the E blast furnace passage to watch how the party responds.
8:42a - Varis seems Dakari heal Sildar.
8:45a - Varis carefully hides while Dakari searches down the passage.
8:50a - Varis heads back towards the furnace room and finds the party gone.
9:20a - Varis decides to head back to the cave entrance via the crashing wave area, down the ledge and then back up again. From there, he heads through the mining area to get back to the entrance where he no longer sees Reidoth and Gundren.
9:25a - Seeing the two are gone, Varis decides to head back into the caves yelling to see if he can find anyone. He makes his way into the main mine tracks area and begins yelling in there but doesn't hear anything and no one responds.
9:30a - Varis heads back towards where Nezznar died and doesn't see/hear anything.
9.33a - He carefully heads further to the south of the area where the party previously rested.
9:35a - He tries to perceive what is around him but only hears the water dripping from the cave ceiling.
9:40a - He then moves farther south towards an odd, green fungi area.
9:45a - Varis first throws a rock in but nothing happens. He then goes in and gets poisoned for 10 minutes and loses 11HP. He now has disadvantage on attacks/rolls. The gas dissipates after one minute.
10:00a - Varis makes his way to the cave entrance and struggles to make his way up the rope with the poison searing through his veins. However, he is able to make it and then stumbles out of the cave to find some fresh air and to do a short rest.
11:00a - Varis wakes up after a deep short rest.
