Session 06: A Visit to the Order of the Gauntlet Report

General Summary

SEVEN SUNS COSTER MARKET

As the party winds up their time at the market, Dakari Akinjide decides he finally is ready to get some marked sticks to use with the augury spell. He winds up purchasing a nice set of purple gem inlaid sticks.

Wrapping up their visit, they decide to head to the Order of the Gauntlet as donaar ironhide would like to connect a bit with some of his past.

ORDER OF THE GAUNTLET

Upon arrival at the order, Donaar explains to the guards that he is visiting as he hopes to visit Kaerath who is a a red dragonborn paladin that previously trained him.

The guards are initially unimpressed and do not allow the party to enter. Donaar attempts to persuade the guards with more words but things simply don't work.

Lysander Nenuial decides to provide some bardic insipiration to hopefully give Donaar the needed abilities to convince the guards that they are worthy of entrance.

Donaar then pulls out a piece of a banner that he has. He explains to the guards that the banner came from a past orc battle he had with Kaerath where they fought bravely together. The guards are convinced having just heard this story more recently from Kaerath.

As the party enters the large foyer area, a burly dwarf named Bromm immediately rushes up to Donaar and hugs him with surprise to see him again.

After some brief greetings, Bromm goes and tells Kaerath Skalathar, who is meeting with Preceptor Theraclast, that Donaar has arrived.

As Kaerath enters the foyer, he is similarly surprised to see Donaar again. Though it hasn't been that long since he last saw Donaar, he is curious about what he has been up to.

Kaerath eventually introduces Donaar to Precepter Theraclast who is one of the lead teachers at the Order of the Gauntlet. He also knows Daran Edermath from Phandalin.

Donaar learns only basic info about continuing unrest in Neverwinter which includes more reports about recurring missing people.

Donaar decides to request some assistance to help preserve Aurex, the recent bronze dragon wyrmling he killed in Borzug's pit fighting arena. Theraclast tells him that Captain Alinoth might have some ideas.

Donaar then makes he way to the other side of the order and meets Alinoth who is talking with a tiefling.

Captain Alinoth lets Donaar know that the auction house might be able to help and lets them know it is along the water on the southern edge of town. The party decides to make their way there.
