Session 03: A Trying Time in the Goblin Hidedout Report

General Summary

GOBLIN HIDEOUT

Heeding Nyx's advice, the party heads into the western portion of the cave where they encounter Yeemik and his three goblin friends.

The party really struggled but Varis was able to take one goblin down.

Nyx casts sleep which put everyone to sleep except her and Varis. Zephyr was badly battered.

The party was able to gather some details from Yeemik, who they had tied up, about Klarg who has been pushing his power in the cave.

They decide to head back to Phandalin to rest up realizing that things in the cave are more difficult than they hoped

STONEHILL INN, PHANDALIN

As the party heads back to the inn, Toblen Stonehill mentions that some orcs had come down from the mountain and he fears they'll overrun Phandalin. He wouldn't mind their help if the party is willing.

The party rests for the night and then heads downstairs for some breakfast

As the party is eating, Toblen's son Pip Stonehill approaches them tells them that Qelline Alderleaf's son Carp Alderleaf is a friend and he found a secret tunnel in the woods. However, the Redbrand Bandit s saw him and almost caught him so he fled.

The party agrees to set back out to try and face Klarg

GOBLIN HIDEOUT

This time, the party heads up the stream but to the right in an attempt to sneak up on Klarg

Three goblins are present and Varis attempted to sneak up on them. Unfortunately, they heard him so they rushed to inform Klarg of the intruder's presence.

Dakari casts Blade Ward to give some protection but as Klarg the Bugbear sees him he mocks him and his kind.

Klarg hits with a furious strike knocking Dakari unconscious in one hit

Klarg laughs amusingly but, seeing no one else, walks back from his part of the cave
