Audreithra Teltorna

In mid-1379 DR, a month after his death from age and ill-health, the Open Lord Piergeiron Paladinson was succeeded by the respected-in-trade Waterdhavian merchant Audreithra Teltorna, who was not herself a Masked Lord. Audreithra, an artisan papermaker and the city's premier book-binder, was a compromise candidate, having been nominated only after many other candidates had been proposed and rejected by various Lords of the Council, each unable to secure a majority of the Council's votes.
She was initially seen within the Lords and across the city as merely a caretaker, someone to hold the office of Open Lord 'offifically' while the Council found a candidate that they could all agree on, but she won the respect of both the citizenry of Waterdeep and the Council while in office.
