Vajra Safahr
Vajra met Tala and Nerali and asked them if the Bumbling Breakthroughs would work for the Force Grey, with the knowledge no one would expect her to employ them. Vajra made them leave in a hurry because Nerali was offensive.
After completing the first mission, Vajra was further offended by Zendari implying she was not as aware of what was going on as she should be.
At the Shipwright's Ball she spoke to Tala and asked them to visit her, but consider what companion they bring. It turns out this was to give them a quest to figure out why a bronze dragonling has been sighted around Waterdeep Harbor. When they discover that the dragonling is seeking a crystal ball that had been made by its mother, she gives them a Figurine of Wondrous Power as a reward.
When the crew comes to her to seek help determining if Nihiloor, the mindflayer with the Xanathar Guild, had done anything to Vaeris or Aethrex, she confirms Aethrex is safe but also that mindflayers can have intellect devourers eat and replace the brains of creatures to act as spies and sleep agents. The party confirms this had happened to Aethrex and gives the corpse of the intellect devourer to her so she can see if she can ascertain any more information about it.
After the party discovers the Cassalanters are cultists and Nerali and Youte are arrested for arson of the Asmodean Shrine they come to Vajra, who helps get their friends out of jail. She believes them about the Cassalanters but explains even she can't move against high nobles without substantial evidence.
When the party discovers the Zhent lair and teleportation circle in Yellowspire, they come to her to report this. They also give her a broken amulet they had recovered from a Zhent during the attack on Gralhund Villa and she says she will see about repairing it. Finally, she entreats them to help see if a friend and fellow member of Force Grey, Meloon Wardragon, has been infected with an Intellect Devourer.
Relationships
Vajra is a capable woman in her 30's who is the Blackstaff, the High Wizard of Waterdeep. She is the leader of Force Gray. The Blackstaff that comes with the role contains the spirits of all former Blackstaffs, and she can use that intelligence to inform her actions.
