The Yawning Portal

A tavern in the Dock Ward of Waterdeep where our adventurers first meet. It's a place where many adventurer's get their start and rumors about the city swirl in the air.
The tavern is a 3-story tall building, with the first floor being a common room where customers eat and drink. The upper floors still open up so one could look to the ground level, with halls along the perimeter so people can get to the rooms that are for rent. It's named such because in the center of it is a 'portal:' a 40-foot diameter well that leads to the first level of the Undermountain. This well was originally part of a watchtower monitoring the entrance to the Undermountain.
