The party tracks Floon Blagmaar and his abductors into the sewers near the Candle Lane Warehouse.

Tracking the path of Floon Blagmaar and his abductors into the sewers, the party encounter a Gazer, a small baseball-sized Beholder-like creature. After defeating it, they recognize markings in the sewers that most likely indicated the path the abductors used.

At one point, the party popped up the wrong way and found themselves in the cellar of the Spouting Fish tavern.

Within a few hours they found themselves at the entrance to the Xanathar Guild Hideout, though they did not know its nature at that point.
