Phandalin Miner's Exchange
Purpose / Function
A prosperous trading post established in Phandalin, the Phandalin Miner's exchange trades in gems and precious metals brought in by local miners and prospectors. Payment is calculated carefully after assessment and weighing of the material brought in.
It also functions as a records office, which registers claims to specific parts of the land, such as valleys and streams.
Architecture
Like many buildings in Phandalin, the Phandalin Miner's Exchange is a recent construction composed largely of wood, with some stonework recovered from the ruins of previous settlements in the area. It was built within one such ruin, the broken perimeter of the building's shell still barely visible around the site of the Exchange's own construction.
History
In 1491 The Phandalin Miner's Exchange was under the leadership of Halia Thornton. During this time the Redbrands hassled almost all business interests in Phandalin, but they never even attempted to interfere with the Miner's Exchange.
