Session 21: Escaping the Web - Part 1 Report

General Summary

The party was made aware of several kobolds that have gone missing from near the Platinum Monastery. Suspecting kidnap, the party used themselves as bait to find the kidnappers. The plan worked, and the group was taken prisoner by drow and brought back to their base, Velkynvelve. Placed with a half-score of other prisoners, the party found, to their dismay, that none of them were the missing kobolds. Biding their time over the next few days, they withstood being used for slave labor to investigate the outpost for clues. To their fortune, they found some information indicating where one was, and clues as to the other three. With that, the next order of business was to escape. An opportunity came as the base came under attack by unknown creatures. To their surprise, they were aided by one of their drow captors, who wished to use their escape to exact some indirect form of revenge against the base commander, Ilvara Mizzrym. Thus, they are free: now what?

Rewards Granted

Jaaski was able to recover a rusty iron bar, to use in prying objects open or as an emergency weapon. Crim was able to befriend a spider, and convinced it to travel with her. Tanebi was able to recover broken fork tines that could be used as makeshift lockpicks.

Successfully escaped the pen with their fellow prisoners, and found information that can point towards the missing kobolds.
Reclaim the equipment taken by the drow.
Gather supplies for the escape.
