Oppression's Song

Beneath the boughs, where once we thrived
We now are caged, our spirits deprived
By human hands, our land was taken
Leaving us but memories, now forsaken

We sing our songs, of ancient lore
But they are silenced, forevermore
Our magic dwindles, under their rule
Our once free spirits, now made dull

We have watched, as they cut down the trees
And polluted the rivers, with their industry
Our homes, now ashes, our families gone
All that's left, is to sing this mournful song

But still we dream, of a brighter tomorrow
When the scales will tip, and we'll borrow
A new world, where elves and humans share
And oppression, will no longer be a nightmare

For now, we'll keep our heads held high
And our spirits unbroken, as we fight the sky
For a future, where our freedom will ring
And all of us, will dance and sing.
